For $20 and if you liked the Hollow Knight. It depends on what you think is a value. The game is about 10 hours'ish. The boss fights are all different and require different stars. Tons of backtracking per usual of a Metroidvania. A dash of artificial difficulty but not as bad most who use it to pad their slop.
The controls are tight and feel good and responsive, but it's basically the same game as Hollow Knight all in all
If you liked Hollow Knight and think $20 is fair for 10-15 hours of gameplay, then yes. If not, then no.

Are streamers literally getting filtered by the fucking Bell Beast? Just fucking stand in the middle to avoid its attacks. When it runs, jump maybe down attack (you may miss but that's okay). When it jumps, stay still in the middle. It will land and pause for a moment giving you chance to attack it repeatedly. After a few attacks, it gonna sometimes pop in the middle to throw some bells. Avoid the bells by going to either the far left or right and the coming back to the middle. Rinse and repeat the whole process.

You would miss some lore and the game is kind of designed with the idea that you have played it already. You'll get your butt kicked if you haven't. HK is great on it's own, I would honestly suggest just playing it until you get the first ending. Then watch the other endings on youtube because getting those takes three times as long as getting the first and many can't get them at all. They are single player games so they aren't going anywhere, no reason to rush this one.

Forgot to mention, get lumafly, it's a problem that lets you easily add mods to the game. I highly suggest adding the mod that makes it so you don't have to use a compass and the one that sucks up geo for you automatically. They don't break the game but it's nice quality of life that will take away a lot of frustration.

It starts out a little tougher. There are two mask damage enemies right from the start, including every boss I've fought so far. And the trickier pogo'ing like the other anon mentioned. But it's not really hard. I haven't played hollow knight in months and I haven't run up against any walls yet.
