Is it over bros? I can't immerse myself like i used to years ago. Nothing works for me anymore, new games, old games i used to play as a kid, nothing. I just feel disconnected from the characters I'm playing, disinterested in the plot or just bored by game mechanics. Last game i played all night was Total War medieval 2 few months ago but that also got boring really quick. Is it time to actually start living? I'm 23 and have a job but never had a gf, or driver license or any friends and i don't leave my house

Get over yourself and play more games. Also maybe play older games. Titles from the PS2 and GameCube era are holding up like gangbusters now. Might I recommend Tony Hawk Underground 2

You are the type of person who gets their fill of dopamine by just imagining how much fun they'll be having and there's no game that will ever live up to these (often impossible or contradictory) expectations. You're basically the median normie and there's no cure for that.
Just buy a bunch of games you'll never play, then complain abour backlog in facetious way while rampant consoomerism soothes your mind. This is your fate now.

I felt this way at 27. You just have to realize you are one of the lucky ones that grew out of games rather than staying latched forever.
