Its a hard question desu.
I have been an open world fan since playing hunter on the amiga as a kid so I have some insight into what makes a good open world. There are 2 key factors and they are both at different spectrums of the genres.
One is immersion, so when there is small erroneous details that make the world feel real and believable so you can live in it (get immersed) A good example is RDR2.
Then there is content, where there is new stuff to discover around every corner that piques your interest so much you are constantly amazed by the exploration. A good example is BotW (more so TotK but BotW was first)
I like both type of worlds differently but if I had to choose I would prefer an open world that is fun to explore rather than full of small details.
