Honestly what's the point of the crests? It just seems like Wanderer is objectively the best one? It's just the base HK moveset but fast. Every other crest gimps your traversal to a point that you should never use them. None of the crests even have a damage difference right? It seems like Wanderer would have the best DPS too if they're the same damage.

It's only 16 hours long if you rush through it, which people are doing to get to one of the endings of the game first. The game seems to take much longer to 100%, to the point the "speed completion" achievement of this game gives you a margin of 30 hours instead of 20 hours. There's a lot to do in the game, there are many more areas. Act 1 seems to be a bit more linear (though it opens up, albeit less than the original Hollow Knight), but Act 2 is more expansive and opens up a lot more.
OG Hollow Knight is pretty short if you're good with the game, you can easily beat it in under 5 hours on a casual playthrough if you go only for the main objectives and you're fairly competent with platformers/combat-oriented games. From what I'm experiencing, I think a 5 hour run of Silksong will be far more complicated for a casual player.

I don't know if this answers your question, but
tl;dr Silksong seems to be longer. People who've already beaten the game have obviously not gone for 100% completion.

Act 1 is weirdly linear but also not? It definitely acts like the Dirtmouth to Fungal Wastes section of the game but even then the Hunter's March and Wormways exist to fuck with you early on. Then when you rise up above to Greymoor thinks open up a lot again.

Here's the problem with the march so far. Pogo fruit is ok. But there is nearly always that flying red shit next to them that you have to dispatch so you can't get straight into progressing. Then those tanky shits that have ridiculous range and attack patterns. Then the arena where with all of that shit going on you can barely discern your ally's attack from the enemy. And to top it all off, you have to run from the marrow to there every time you die.

It's really good for crowd control in those gauntlets when the doors close. Anything that touches it takes full damage, then it shoots out spikes in six directions. If you have the poison trinket you can stack a fuck ton of procs of poison on pretty much anyone in the room. Sadly it has a low stock of uses, so it really benefits from the tool pouch upgrades.

I unlocked deep docks but didnt find much. Leads to a way into far fields, and there is a door I need an ability to interact with a ring lever to open. A few tough enemies, and maybe some wall I would check if I got bombs.

Yeah, you can either use the dash or pogo off of the flies. The pogo is a bit of a pain in the ass if you still only have the diagonal pogo, but that was how I did it early in the game.

I'm not making this up but hornet at one point shouted something after hearing her sing a bunch, I'm pretty sure hornet didn't sing along but i don't know what caused her to make that noise, none of her moves make that noise, i talked to her again and since then she's been following me around.


Maybe you just had to stand next to her and hear her sing a bunch and she likes you for it? I really don't know, i awas fucking around and moving aobut the screens and maybe i triggered something else idk. She just keeps following me and ending up at random spots

This guy can take damage, but looking at your current tools (Guessing), you lack the ability to directly hit up without doing a basic jump+attack and even then, you need to get up on a rock to do it, having barely to none time to dodge the vomit.
