Reminder there are still Christians living in Muslim countries, and they've been there for more than a thousand years. Just left mostly alone. Hell, there are still Zoroastrians in Iran even.

Meanwhile in Europe, Christians killed or evicted all non-Christians. No non-Christian population in any European country survived Christian rule. The only Muslim Europeans are leftovers of the collapse of the Ottoman Empire. When Spain got ahold of Muslim land, they killed and evicted everyone there. Many who converted were later expelled.

I don't care about the right or wrong of it, frankly we are better off that this happened. However, historically speaking, Muslims have been vastly more tolerant of other religions than Christians. You could be non-Muslim in Muslim countries. You could not be non-Christian in Christian Europe.
