This will blow your mind, but the emulators you take for granted today needed YEARS of hard work to reach the standard you know and expect today. There was a time when just being able to somewhat emulate mario was a big step forward. N64 emulation was considered something for NASA tier PC's and people would laugh at the idea of smooth, accurate PS2 emulation.
