It will be a general direct but mainly because third parties will be there. I expect this to pretty much be a Mario anniversary direct from Nintendo. It's being specifically hosted on next Friday, the anniversary of Mario. Nintendo never does directs on a Friday so that has to be the reason why. I'm expecting a ton of Mario related announcements, like Mario Wonder DLC, The next Paper Mario and Yoshi, with the big reveal being the next 3D Mario of course. Aside from that Metroid Prime 4 and Pikmin 4 DLC sliding in there somewhere.

I also predict the next 3D Mario will be much more similar to 64 and Sunshine than Odyssey was, but on a much bigger scale. A big hub world with a bunch of smaller worlds inside it. I predict they will even bring back paintings as the world entrances as a call back.

Even though it will clearly be based off 64 and sunshine you will have a bunch of autists screeching it's copying BotW.

It's been rated in multiple countries which means it's basically done. The question is just if it makes December or gets pushed to February/March. Either way we should get the big reveal.
