I got baited into playing this game. Was told it was le super good and deep. Was basically the last nail in the coffin for my faith in Imsims.

The unfortunate thing is that the sequel looks to have actually complex level design, but nobody is passionate enough about the game for me to put faith in their espousing of its strengths, not that anybody even seems to describe its strengths in an cogent way.

So I have no reason to assume its any better than the first game.

I have some general thoughts about stealth and imsims that I would love to talk indepth about. But I already wrote an essay post about this and it was ignored for the most superficial response ever.

Theres really and truly no point in ever wasting time or effort on this board. Its just so frustrating that I always want to.

You don't kill that many people, especially if you only go after objective scum. Leaving your assassination targets alive should be the main factor.

As someone who went through the entire game slaughtering everyone with the dust/ash ability, just to receive fucking Ghost of all things after every mission, the High Chaotic ending that I got was because I killed a certain amount every level, you can get the good ending by slaughtering a few here and there, including the targets.

Bringing the empire back after both coup attempts sounds based, and the game was fun so I like it. At least the first one.

thing is, you can kill quite a bit before you get the bad ending. you just can't kill everything that moves. besides, if you think about it, being a deranged killer would take a lot of effort, and it's much more efficient to get in, find your target, kill them, and get out without raising a hair of suspicion.

with some small exception, the powers are minor boons that don't really make you superhuman, they just give you a small advantage over a group of people, so you can slaughter a group if you want or at the very least get away from foes.
