They are literally hiding her from all the promotional material for this exact reason. Too bad they fucked it up like the accidental reveal in OP, they've shown Amara looking after Ava's pet Hermes in one of their other gameplay showcases so it is 99% confirmed Ava is in the game. Also, this comment from an interview a week ago.
