I like everything about it but I also haven't really messed with it too much so I can't speak to accuracy. I can tell you one time I was playing Shadow Tower with it and it freaked the fuck out graphically, dropped to 4 FPS and my save was borked. That's the only issue I ever had.

It's lightweight which is very useful for shitboxes like chinkhelds but has relevant speedhacks unlike PCSX Rearmed.
It's inaccurate, the dev is such a nigger he makes you side with the libretro leeches, and he has the psychological profile of someone who will inevitably slip malware in.

Mednafen is the linux of PS1 emulators.

I tried playing Parappa a few months ago and I couldn't get the timing right. I thought it was input lag from the emulator but then I remembered I actually owned the game when I was a kid but never beat it because I had the same timing issue.

you could also try messing around with the runaway setting. emulators are going to have inherent lag no matter what just because of how they work. Only way to get the most precise timing is unfortunately through real hardware on a CRT

It's an issue inherent to the game. Um Jammer Lammy is fine emulated or on real hardware, while Parappa is weird. It can be learned (pretty easily, too), but you're playing off time.
