There is the typical over-representation of females, in general, and specifically in males dominated roles, like tradesmen, warriors, etc. But this is a bug world, not a human one, so it's whatever. I think I'm about 5 hours in and like 90% of the characters have been female. I haven't seen anything gay yet, but the first game did have a lesbian and a couple gay bugs so I'm sure there will be something. It's not like this is concord or dustborn though.
