Not op, but beat the final boss after 14 hours of ingame playtime, did some exploring afterwards but not really feeling it right now.
Tbh, the balancing / difficulty is one issue (I found it mildly challenging at times, which means the average player will struggle a lot), but far more egregious is how it barely feels like a metroidvania anymore. There wasn't a single moment where I got some new cool ability and immediately went back to explore unexplored paths, which is /the/ defining experience of metroidvania games. In fact, I had to go through like 5 or 6 areas in the midgame only to find that one ability that allowed me to progress. All the crests / tools should have been scrapped (and the base toolkit properly balance) and instead there should have been at least 5 or 6 traversal-type abilities added that open up the map.
Some of the boss fights were pretty decent, but I don't think I liked a single area in the game in terms of gameplay. Not a single one.
