>Why don't gamers use Linux for gaming?
Let's see
- Games run slower.
- Multiplayer games with anticheat don't work at all.
- New games often require some tweaking before they can boot.
- If you own an Nvidia GPU, things like Smooth Motion won't work on certain games and when it does, it can break at times, so it's not reliable.
- When things break, it's more often than not a bug introduced in some patch or driver update and you have to wait for the random guthub guy to fix it whenever he feels like it.
- HDR support is bad and doesn't have the improvements that Win11 has.
- Fonts look blurry, have terrible aliasing or look "off"
- integer scaling is also broken and doesn't work as intended in some cases
I could go on, but you get the point, it's a fun OS to play with for sure, but when you want to do things and want them to actually work, you gotta use Windows.
