I still find Songbird more sympathetic on the whole because not only is it impossible to walk away from being Myers' personal nuke your whole life without some disintegration of your character, it's also up in the air how much of her behavior is due to the influence of rogue AIs. They've already changed her DNA. They've absolutely fucked with her head. That being said, like the title of the DLC implies, Songbird has no freedom in any of the endings. She trades Myers for Blue Eyes, who is behind some mind controlling himself and is likely a rogue AI occupying the body of a human. She's a bird in a cage singing the tune of whatever master she has. It's a tragic story. I don't blame her for betraying V for a chance to get out of it, but her best ending may just be death in the Reed route.
Also, Reed is a good dude but he's also an enabler of abuse. He said it himself. He didn't push back hard enough on Myers until the damage was already done to Songbird. It's a Takemura and Arasaka situation. Good dude working for an evil overlord.
