DS2's world is intentionally too inconsistent to map. Some areas even overlap when loaded at the same time.

Yes. The only enemies in it are these lightning zebra things that charge you from out of the blizzard and can come in pairs. The boss is also complete cancer. It is by far the worst area in all of Dark Souls 2. Only the Iron Passage comes close.

It feels much different to play than the original so it will take you time to get used to that. Rapier + Hornet Ring rapes the entire game.
