I was scared before the release of Silksong that the game would be boring because they would assume the player hasn't gone through Hollow Knight and the game's difficulty would be tailored to newbies. I got way too good by the end of HK, I would not be able to take a similar difficulty experience. That's why I'm so glad they cranked it up and they're assuming that, since it's a sequel, you've obviously played, gotten good at, and beaten the first one.

I wish Silksong had persistent Nail durability of like 15/15 that you had to use silk to repair and dying without killing a boss lowers your max silk by 1. Beating a boss returns the silk to you. Yes if you die once you cant heal anymore.

There were hard games like megaman or sanic 2 (final boss) and you or I may not have time for them now but by dragging everyone you're ensuring NO one will have games like that. like if you met other players of that game, what would you discuss? talk about the lore and shit, or say "oh yeah btw i beat that boss without getting hit", or "oh yeah, I nailed this section first try".
That's just talk, your skill will barely transfer to another game, there is no competition.
Maybe that's what made speedrunning popular in the first place, introducing competition in single player games.
To me, it doesn't look like this game is mechanically deep or interesting, and people are mostly in for the lore or got sucked in by the hype. Maybe the lore is good, but to me it looks kinda pretentious. If you're looking for a challenge, there are certainly harder games out there you haven't played.

You could say "cheating is bad because you get the rewards without the efforts", but didn't you do something vaguely similar when picking such an easy game relative to some others? That's why I think these people mostly fell for they hype, they wouldn't bat an eye if it was that studio's first release.

The problem isn't the difficulty. It's the fact that the boss is rarely ever right next to a bench. And if it is close by. You'll have pay with shekles every time. Tedious is an understatement for this type of level design. I don't understand the point of it at all. I don't recall hollow Knight ever forcing this

the boomerang is found in the third or fourth area you go to, in hunters march. it's one of the venders behind a left sided broken wall in one of the rooms at large vertical area with the air gust column. the other one is at the bird place to the right in grey moor. these can both really help when it comes to flyers

Enemies definitely shouldn't be hitting for two masks of damage unless they're like that swole ant guarding the ant area and other big guys. Fourth Chorus should be the first boss to do two masks of damage per hit since he's a massive robot, and the Last Judge hitting that hard is also acceptable (though a bench should be right outside her arena because fuck that retarded runback).
