I'm disappointed that this James Bond is a zoomer.

it looks like the type of game that would go 50% off after 6 months, and in the bargain bin by the end of the year
not that it's bad, it'll get 7 and 8's across the board, but it's just that disposable of a game. making a linear single player third person shooter in 2025 is crazy

this, james bond will always be a 20th century figure, which is why the daniel craig films felt so awkward by the end. I can't take modern 007 seriously, the women the music, the car, the attitude; it's from a different time. Should have set it in the 60s or 70s

It looks decent for a playthrough, but Bond is inherently lame.

There's not enough old devs that remember those days. They fired them all and replaced them with zoomer indians on H1B visas.

I didn't watch the gameplay thing they released. How much action is in it? Or is it all just Hitman with a James Bond coat of paint?

Rather then messing with the core formula much they're just broken it up into hitman with a bond coat of paint and slightly deeper melee combat and then between hitman levels there's more action and driving setpiece stuff
Anonymous No.719945489
>>719942461 (OP)
I think it looks cool, the driving and set piece action segments won't win it any awards but they seem fun enough to effectively break up the core hitman style segments.

One thing that instantly stood out to me is they seem to have put some sort of limit on luring people away from their positions, in Hitman WoA it was way too broken being able to just throw objects places to draw anybody away from anywhere

I'm also hoping that in the hotel level they showed there will be an option to check on the dropped luggage before you go after the belhop, it seems so weird to me that wasn't bonds first instinct, although I get they needed the excuse to have you go inside and need to hide from your allies, the luggage might have given you leave to actually enter, would be super fucking sick if they actually have the nature of the level change if you do that with no longer hiding from your allies

FINALLY! Thank fucking God some developers still make games like this! I remember when we had so many of these games on a monthly basis; that was the best we ever had! I'm just happy this game exists on principal.

All they've shown is a vertical slice/proof of concept and the stuff that should draw you in was stuttering like hell

Wait till they have something more tangible, make a decision then

Weird how an airport just has these dangerously explosive barrels and tankers laying around everywhere. Also, what place was that level suppose to be at? From the look of the cards with the steering wheel on the right you would think it's somewhere in Europe but then when you get to the road, everyone is driving on the American side of the lane.

I feel it's at least an improvement on the Hitman formula. This one seems to guide you more than Hitman which can be daunting for new players. It also has action set pieces so they wont' get bored of just sneaking and killing as discreetly as possible.

seems harmless at worst, the dialogue didn't want to gauge my eyes out and I love hitman so I'm optimistic.

I wish the gadgets were more creative though, those were always my favourite parts of the movies when I was a kid.

I wish we got more Hitman instead of Bond, I was never a fan of the franchise precisely because of Bond's character, I detest "cocky" archetypes in general (same reason why I thought Nathan Drake sucked since people are bringing up Uncharted a lot in these threads), 47 on the other hand is stoic and ice cold, he's barely human that's what makes him so interesting. Call me back in 2035 when they'll return to the Hitman franchise, assuming IOI will spend a decade for Bond the same way they did with nu-Hitman, which started all the way back in 2016.

What do people find in Bond anyway, do en[First ]Lighten me please

Spy stories are cool, especially when you throw in misogyny, fast cars and dope ass gadgets. You're not a real person if you never dreamed of having atleast one of his gadgets.

Based and Daltonpilled. That cello case chase is still one of the coldest sequences in the entire franchise. Brosnan wishes he had half that charisma without needing invisible cars and ice palaces.

Abysmal. Bond's appeal can be broken down to key elements that are much easier to do in books and movies than in a video game.
>Globetrotting
>Gadgets
>Witty dialogues
>Beautiful bond girls
>Car Chases
>Sneaking
>Fight Scenes
>Hand to Hand duels
>Memorable villains.
Bond movies feature chase scenes because they're movies and you see the final take of professional camera work, in a video game racing is only fun in GTA or a racing game.
Making a video game they should cut their losses and pick what's viable, don't do car chases that despite being a video game can only end in 1 valid way or a gameover along the way.
Hitman 1 was already enough of a bond feel, all they had to do was make that again with better melee, and a bit more leg work before killing the target, hitman 3 added even more bond with the shitty camera gimmick

Going from alpha protocol and adding gameplay that isn't atrocious with a bond license would be a divine game.
