Why are children minds so easily fooled by video games?
At 20 or 30 something switches in your brain and overnight you start recognizing video games for what they are - meaningless achievements not worth your time and effort.
It's not like with cigarettes or alcohol - you don't have to slowly and consciously work to quit the habit - it just happens automatically and within days...

I know and have realized how stupid they are. But I play them to pass time until i get to eat or sleep again. I dont really like them though

A child is allowed to waste their time. You as an old fuck have responsibility. Stay up all night as a kid and don't do homework, no real consequences. Stay up all night and don't show up for work as an adult get fired now you'll be homeless in a week.

Everyone I know has somebody in their job ruining it for everybody else. Either stealing money, spreading lies or just being incompetent in a setting where incompetence is rewarded. Adulthood is all decline unless you do something you love away from shithole people, even badly.
