It's gonna be massive. First of all, with the death of E3 the fall direct is now their main direct for the year. Secondly, they have nothing switch 2 specific announced for after Metroid (likely December), we need to see a lot of shit for next year. Finally, it's on the Mario anniversary so we can expect to see the next 3D Mario and a lot of other Mario crap.

Nintendo is also in a very strong position right now because Sony just jacked up the price, so Nintendo should come out swinging to gain momentum. They can be the cheaper and better option heading into the holidays and really decapitate Playstation's holiday sales.

It's been out for 3 months dude, what do you expect? The Switch 1's only game at this point was BotW. Everything else was a port or shovelware. Don't buy a new console if you want games. At least with the switch 2 we can play some of the old games at much higher resolution. I've been playing Link's Awakening and Kirby and the forgotten land and they look way better.

I feel like saying you want a new Pokemon Stadium specifically when it's just for the minigames is a bit weird, but sure I guess. They were fun. 80% of the meat of the game was the battle sim aspect though, so I assumed that's what you were after.

And to answer, no, Champions doesn't have minigames as far as we know, it is just a battle sim that allows you to either use Rental mons or mons you have saved in Pokemon Home. It's basically the modern equivalent of what Stadium was to Gen 1 and 2.

I've sunk very many hours playing couch multiplayer over at friends' places purely in the minigames of pokemon stadium 1 and 2, it was a regular part of the rotation of party games. No-one ever had any interest in the battle sim stuff in that party setting at least, even though ostensibly that's supposed to be the "main" part of the game

The pokemon IP and setting is really well-suited to minigame compilations for partygame multiplayer like that, it's a real shame they haven't done anything like it since
