I wouldn't let the aesthetics of the atmosphere or the "le high IQ no mini-map blah blah blah" shill shit fool you because the puzzles are braindead easy if you pay attention to the environment and context clues from NPCs, plus the game's backtrack city and there's no reason to care about the world or the characters, especially the characters. It's literally baby's first Soulslike.
Gameplay feels like an offline single player hank n slash MMO at times.
Enemies become damage sponges later on at higher levels, even the basic mooks, and the "challenge" is DS2-tier bad by throwing adds at you where most encounters becomes a game of crowd control and they've managed to make that more of a chore than fun.
