The biggest issue is the chest armor combo. Gambeson + chain shirt + plate + coat is fucking retarded for 99% of all enemies in the game. Plate in general should be reserved for important characters. And especially this shit shouldn't be available at vendors in the first half of the game. The fact that the game gives you the best gear halfway through just completely ruins the progression curve.

Nobody who turned to banditry would be this well geared. And those who are would join a merc company and fight battles in service of some lord. Even regular soldiers would at best be wearing a good helmet, gambeson and some chain shirt.

So I actually loved the game and I didn’t really care there was gay shit since I never saw it. If you don’t want to be a fag then don’t click the fag dialogue option. My two issues were…

1) Musa. I don’t like black people. Black people weren’t in medieval Bohemia. No niggers please.
2) Progression. I was vastly overpowered early in Act 2. Once I had a dueling longsword and full plate I could more or less solo entire groups of enemies without issues. If I farmed the town with deserters by Sigismund’s camp for an hour or two, I’d be able to buy the best gear in the game and then I could literally solo Sigismund’s army.

I loved the story, I loved the world, the immersion, the romances were nice, the characters were good. It’s a great game but those were the two big issues.

When 2 released, I thought it was a KCD problem
but that you just can't have a real discussion on /v/.
But it's the same with every single game, woke or not, big or small. All the threads are just full of shitters who haven't played the game and people who don't even care about it.

The issue isn't difficulty but the progression system in and of itself. You get one big power spike in the beginning but as soon as all your gear slots are filled all your upgrades are extremely incremental and as soon as you get to Kuttenberg you only get sidegrades. The first zone act was fantastic, and ending it off with the escape from the castle was neat because instead of sneaking through the woods I slow marched my ass through it killing everyone I saw and had Henry go through his own Vagabond 70 man slaughter.
The second zone act's main story was a bit more linear but there were a lot of long form side quests with multiple outcomes that made up for it to me.

I was heavily looking forward to it as a day one KCD1 supporter and I think its pretty good but I burnt out by the time I made it to the second map. I was expecting a big change in gameplay, scenery, or activities and there just isn't. I was hoping to be able to at least buy and decorate property somewhere. You don't even need any of the armor or weapons from the armorers you only find on that map. You've experienced pretty much everything there is to experience within like ten hours of gameplay.

I really enjoyed it. There's a lot of mechanics that add to immersion. Things like smell, armor sets, rep aren't new but they're still great. What I do think is new that more people should be talking about is how npcs will react to one another. Kill the wife? Husband is later outside crying but more than that another npc will walk up and say something like "sorry for your loss" that's really good.
