All I needed was the steamdeck so I got it with the OLED and never looked back.

Nintendo switch 2 is so overpriced it's not even funny.

Switch 1 (gathering dust)
steamdeck LCD (gathering dust)

I only have a steamdeck
Its nice for certain types of games but the ergonomics occasionally suck if something has awkward inputs

Either get a Steam Deck for PC games or use your smartphone for emulation. Everything else is complete dogshit.

Of the mentioned only hacked Switch 1. However I do own pretty much every older handheld console, sometimes multiple versions of them spawning from the big fat Gameboy to N3DSXL including a Wonderswan Color and a NeoGeo Pocket Color, all either with CFW or an everdrive + a bunch of physical games if it's a game I really care about or have emotional attachment to.

I plan to get a handheld PC, almost pulled the trigger on a Legion Go recently but at this point might as well waitβ„’ for the Deck 2.

Switch 1
Steamdeck OLED
Gameboy SP
New 3DS XL

Annoyed that nintendo is already arbitrarily locking games in the switch 2 that could easily run on switch 1.

Yeah, handhelds. Who needs those when most of the time, most people are in one place and have a PC?

Got a Switch 2 (and Switch 1) and one of these ANBERNIC RG40XX. Really impressed with the Switch 2 after playing DKB but without a good dpad i don't play play 2d games on it like the new shinobi and ninja gaiden.

The little chink Anbernic is great for 2D games, had to print that grip you see in the pic because I got old man hands. I take it with me to work almost daily. My oldest boy wants one as well. Might give him this one and get the new ANBERNIC RG 477M (which has a bigger/better) screen for myself

I have the RG477M its noticably heavy but the screen is absolutely gorgeous. Feels like playing remasters of the 6th gen games. I did change out the Switch 1 style thumbcaps after a while though not a fan of those

PC, Switch, smartphone.
But I barely play games anymore. I finished Gothic 1 on Switch this year and that's it.
I sometimes play PS1 games on my phone via duckstation emulator. It's better than playing on Sony's original handhelds.

I also have 30 years worth of home consoles and a good desktop. The Deck is still the best gaming device I've ever bought by far. I didn't think it would be, I bought it more as a novelty for the hell of it, but it easily became more used for gaming than my desktop did. It's just that instantaneously pick up and play convenient while still offering all the freedom and control. The only reason to go pure desktop is if specs matter to you more than anything else.

just buy an rcm jig, they cost less than a dollar. the one with the payload injector costs 5-10 bucks. the entire process wont take more than 30 seconds

hacked switches can switch between emunand (hacked) and sysnand (normal). booting into sysnand lets you play online without getting banned. if you attempt to play online on emunand, your console might get banned

yeah
sysnand wont read your pirated games and it'll show up as error

there are methods of being able to play online on emunand with a pirated copy without getting banned but i never really looked into it that much since i dont play online

The Switch 1 sold 151 million units in 8 years. The Steam Deck sold less than 3-4 million units in 3 years. Any type of data you derive from 4chan is just meaningless compared to real world data. It could be 100 Steam Deck replies here and it still would be less than the total number of N-Gage and Wii U sold in the world.

I have a deck and a switch 1, though my switch barely got touched once I bought my deck. Kinda why I don't care about getting a switch 2 anytime soon as it's only gonna be used for exclusives.

Steam deck more expensive here than it, it just made sense.
Shit battery life but I'm never away from a charger anyways, nice performance, and I like having windows out of the box, finally playing through shit I got from Tim Unreal.

>Every game is 80
Stop lying. Also they always do sales. Not massive ones, but at least 30% off on their games. That meme is fucking outdated. There is always sales for third party games and sometimes you can even find games that are cheaper ln the eShop than in steam.

>Expensive accessories
You don't need a pro controller 2. Everything from the switch 1 is compatible. Also controllers are expensive for every console, including the deck.

>Online
I consneed that, but i only pay 10 bucks a year for everything because if you have friends you can split the bill.

Looks good, my only hang up on the RG477M is how the shoulder buttons are inline and not stacked like on my RG40XX. Hoping they make one with the stacked shoulder buttons soon.
