Feeling pessimistic about anything Xenoblade or Monolith Soft showing up in this rumoured Direct.

Nintendo lately have felt like they've disowned Monolith.

>No Xenoblade music on Nintendo Music.

>No Xenoblade Switch 2 patches.

>Casually just dropping Xenoblade X DE on Twitter without any fanfare

I really don't see Nintendo giving them spotlight anymore. It feels like Xenoblade has reached the ceiling of who it appeals to in its current form, Nintendo knows this, and has now stopped devoting as much time and resources in supporting it.

Xenoblade just appeals to Xenoblade fans. They don't need to put Monolith's games in a Direct anymore. Xenoblade fans will just find out about it themselves. That's what I think Nintendo is doing now.

Long gone are the days Nintendo reveals a new Monolith Soft as the "One more thing..." at the end of a Direct.

So they’ve done with others. It was a remaster and used to fill a gap
You are right that it is one of their more niche series, but just because they haven’t dicksucked them in a while doesn’t mean they’re demoting it

Monolith has been THE backup of just about every EAD team since the Wii U era, they're the most important cornerstone of modern Nintendo

I'm very excited to see what the next game is. The only thing I'm annoyed about is how slow they are being with Xenoblade updates for Switch 2, particularly X. These games would benefit tremendously from access to the new power. It should have been as high of a priority as the Mario/Zelda stuff.

I just wish for Switch 2 patches honestly.
I've started XC1 four times over and always lost interest around Eryth Sea (Bionis head). Fifth times the charm if the game runs at 60fps.

Monolith Soft is still a valuable asset to Nintendo because of their involvement in other first party games but I do agree that Xenoblade’s presence is kinda wearing down.

3 already concluded the main trilogy and X sold like shit, it couldn’t even break a million, Takahashi told the story he wanted to tell and I think Monolith is gonna move on to entirely new projects.
