No, adulthood is realizing that these comparisons are faux because you live in a world with entirely different dynamics and complexities.
Indeed the only fulfillment in being a dude with a pointy hat slaying things would come from being a person from this realm, with the knowledge of how things work here, being able to move to an entirely different realm, extrapolating your own values into a society that works fundamentally different.
Companionship notwhitstanding.

I would choose slaying monsters all day than staying home with a wife.
