If you haven't beaten a game twice then it's like you haven't played it at all.

Sekiro does have new content though, if you go for the Shura ending.

This doesn't work because he's being a contrarian here since most people tip. On the other hand, I would say most normalfags don't replay games and just treat them like movies, especially compounded by games going full cinematic in the last two decades.

It's a contrarian/ragebait thing to say in the context of /v/, where these faggots have irrational "standards"
Anonymous No.719973007 >>719973779 >>719974126

Exactly. Gaming used to be about mastery and discovery-now it’s “consume once and discard.” You can tell who grew up on rentals and who grew up with Game Pass. A lot of these people bounce off a game after 10 hours and act like they experienced the entirety of it. No patience, no curiosity-just a checklist mentality.
Anonymous No.719973101 >>719973458
You WILL start to replay games when the industry inevitably stops making shit you like.

At least my generation is replaying good PS2 era games, meanwhile you'll be replaying gacha slop on some private server when you're 40 to relive your "glory days" lol

/v/ isn't most people. Its a bunch of autists with unobtainable standards for a good game

I replay games sometimes, but what most people call "replayability" is stupid. I'm not going to replay a mediocre game that's 80% the same as the last run just so I can see a few different cutscenes. The real replayability is just a really good game that people want to revisit.

If you have to do it twice, then the first time wasn't good enough

After playing long RPGs, do you really have the desire to do all that shit again when nothing changes?

Immediately? No.

But like 10 years later? Yeah.

It’s simply an alternative way of experiencing games. The fact that you think there’s only one “correct” way of consuming games indicates low emotional intelligence. Men 30 years ago didn’t think like this. Only in this internet age do grown “men” have the luxury of being so emotionally unintelligent

I haven't played a video game since 2013. After GamerGate all I felt was rage, and hate. I come here for politics threads. Seems I was right to do what I did because games clearly aren't as good anymore. Just give them up.
Anonymous No.719974126

Thats because modern games have no content. They are easily completed in 5 hours. The ones with content are just bloated with cheap and reptitive tasks like Skyrim and its "infinite quests". I had incentive to grind out a game for unlockables, now that concept is defeated and replaced with paying with you wallet.

“Games aren’t good anymore” is a retarded excuse. You still have a 30 year backlog of good games you haven’t played

Anonymous No.719974573
>>719974290
It doesn’t. I’m just saying getting disillusioned with the entire hobby/medium is stupid, because there will always be a backlog of good stuff. Insisting that stuff HAS to be new or it doesn’t count is dumb

Plenty of good games have come out since 2013. You're just angry and don't like games anymore.

I got to that age where I just replay the same games over and over again.

Every other year I start a Stardew Valley Farm, or a terraria/minecraft world, go back to my Isaac second save file and so on.

Nod really. I just like never-ending games that particularly scratch my itch.

Long linear games bore me over time.
