I was almost getting interested in this new Harvest Moon (Story of Seasons) game for the first time in like 15 years too because of the threads I've been seeing in here.
The threads on /v/ never mentioned this, does that mean that you're just ok with this fag shit in our games? This is just as faggy as the other Story of Seasons games that came before it.

To be blunt, schizo-anon, you are the tourist in this situation. You lost Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons and other "comfy" farm sims to the woke fujo crowd AGES ago. Of course they have stupid pronoun systems and gay marriage, they are made for those people first and the old school, romance VN/dating sim loving basement dwellers last. At least since Stardew Valley got big and all the girls wanted to fuck Shane.

It's not a GOOD thing, especially with the absolute rarity you even SEE the pronouns you picked be spoken with at all in these games. And if you really the kind of otherkin motherfucker that NEEDS these mechanics to be represented, I don't see why you would ever be happy with only 3 options and not just type it out. But you can't really say the vast majority of people buying these games (and actually buy, not just pirate) aren't also the sort that dump a huge amount of cash in games like Love & Deepspace and Infinity Nikki, get into toxic flame wars on BlueSky about lolicons, and have more pronouns than stable jobs. Rune Factory 4 is pretty much the last game of these sorts (maybe Guardians of Azuma but not too sure about the side content) that really was made for the dating sim crowd. Go play that instead if it gets you so hard.

Don't worry OP, you're not the only one who's sick of seeing this shit. I'm in the same boat, and I've been a fan since the GBA days. I would love to still be able to be on the farming sim train when it has finally managed to gain some steam, but it all has come with all this inclusion bullshit to the point that I just want off the ride. I'm sure I would like the basic gameplay of Grand Bazaar remake, but me buying it would mean I give monetary support towards practices I do not agree with, so I'm not going to do that. It kinda sucks, but it is what it is.

I think stuff like this is validating some very unhealthy ways of thinking. And I'm not even someone who wants to force very specific gender roles, I would love to see at least a fraction of the effort that goes into shit like this go into efforts towards encouraging people to embrace their interests and not let them define their sexual identity. But no, instead it has to be all about muh identity and pronouns and it has to become everyone's problem. I hate having to deal with this shit in things I once found enjoyment in.

But like some other anons said, the older games still exist so those are the ones I (still) play. Rune Factory 3 Special is likely to be the last farming sim that completely avoids the modern bullshit treatment, so I'd recommend that. It's still just as good, or arguably even better than it was back on DS.
