Yes. If you're too much of a puss to go to a gym, get some noob gains at home

I bought a pull-up bar and I now I just randomly do pull-ups from time to time

I couldn't do one at first but now I'm up to doing 3 in a row, also my chest and back feel bigger

you won't look like that without progressive overload workouts, which require heavier weights.

you can use furniture for that.

Based pull-up progression Anon.
I also bought one and went from only being able to do negatives to being able to knock out 10 in a row.
I stopped though cause keeping myself hanging from the bar hurts my hands, now I just do dumbbell workouts.

OP's image is like 6 years of natural bodybuilding at least or 2 years of roids, whether or not he'll look like that doesn't even matter yet.

isometrics are fantastic for feeble and old people, and anyone really, as your pushing against yourself so it scales with your strength.
Safe and fast way to build tendon strength and can really tire you out if you put the effort in.
Get a strap and do static holds where you're pushing against it while standing on it to mimic bodybuilding exercises.
Video games.

I'd turn my pc room into a jungle gym if i could. It's kind of like what gaben said about piracy being a service problem. I don't think people actually hate exercising, it's just inconvenient and if the effort to start is too much (gotta dress up and go out, etc), they won't start at all. You'd be surprised how fit you can get if you focus on things you can do easily while in front of a computer.

Best bang for your buck in terms of the amount of effort and time you put vs the results is doing some low frequency program with 2-3 big compounds a day + a couple accessories on top of that, 2 to 3 times a week. Something like starting strength except don't eat like a retard unless you're chasing numbers for a powerlifting meet. If you don't feel like going to a gym or purchasing a bunch of equipment, the next best thing by my estimation is getting a pair of rings and banging out pull ups, dips, push ups, rows etc - although this approach is very ineffective if you're a fatass since you'll have to drop a bunch of weight before you can do a meaningful amount of reps

>>719980179
Just be mindful that once you get to 6+ reps per set, you eventually run the risk of getting tendinitis from banging out pull ups all the time

>gained a bunch of muscle from lifting weights as a teenager
>got the V shape and everything at around age 32 or so
>got a bone spur in my right ankle from doing cardio
>then peroneal subluxation tendon syndrome
>two surgeries within the span of five years
>gained back 40 pounds
>lost some of it with cardio again
>but hit a plateau like a motherfucker, still need to lose around 24-27 pounds to reach my ideal weight
>can't decide if I should be lifting weights, doing more cardio, or should just return to calisthenics
Help

For added difficulty try to hold your legs out in front while you're doing pullups, in an L-sit position. Great core workout

Damn that sucks.
Do light cardio and go back to calisthenics until you can lift again.

Can do push ups,, squats, and running, but I cannot do a single pull up for the life of me. I swear to fuck, pull ups are for people who are already at negative eleventy million body fat percentage and are just there to showcase how fit they are. It's the "walking" of cardio. A movement done to maintain your already lean physique, not to actually get in shape or lose weight or anything.

Yes, but you need cardio too. Also you have to be somewhat strict with your isometrics.
So far I think what would work really well is.
Creative Isometrics that work with your body.
Walking + Jump Rope if your joints and hips can handle it.
Then an alternating diet of mostly protein and then mostly carbs in some kind of 80/20 proportion both in the individual meal and ratio of protein to carb centric meals.
It's been found that Fasting with 400 Calorie protein meals once per day maximizes weight loss over a long period of time.
>>719985093
Those are unrealistic for most non-gymbros. Not everyone's joints can handle those activities.

Use reverse grip, jump as high as you can on to the pullup bar and try to lower yourself as slowly as possible. It's going to be hard at first, but eventually you'll be able to do a chinup and from there it's going to be easy.

Try doing deadhangs until failure for a total of about 3 minutes a day for a week straight. You'll be surprised with how much it helps work up to a full pullup
Anonymous No.719985905 [Report]
all these people struggling with pullups must be fat giants or something
even when I was at my unhealthiest, before I started working out at all, I could at least do a couple from a dead hang. I've never weighed more than about 170lb

This is good advise. And is in line with isometrics. Doing things like this will increase strength with out straining joints and ligaments too much.
Just like if Push Ups are too much for you. Planking and holding that for as long as you can will do wonders until you can start actually doing push ups of they're to hard for you.

Most people don't realize how useful Asmongold's $2 steak and potato meals are.
However it's not always easy to find places that will sell you bottom round at a significantly cheaper price that makes it worth it to get such a poor cut of meat.
However if you don't have a lot of money and if you can find a shop that will sell you bottom round for cheap instead of making it into hamburg. That is an amazing constant source of protein for very little money.
