Have you ever thought about the nuances of language, like how an monolingual anglophone weeb might insist that subs are always better than dubs despite not having any foundational knowledge of the language to actually make an assessment if one dub is objectively better than the other?
I ask because the same holds true when the roles are reversed. A mono-speaking Japanese national without foundational knowledge of the English language will similarly lack the background to make an objective assessment on if an English dub is well performed or not. This lack of knowledge is exactly how dogshit localizers are able to work in the industry for so long before finally facing any action against them. This lack of knowledge can similarly be attributed to many other facets of game development (Like the homogenization of character designs of other ethnicities you see all over in western games, because the team of dumb fuck white people can only think to hire consultancy groups run by more white people instead of consulting any group of shared cultural heritage to check if black guy with killmonger cut #82312534 is anything but uninspired)
