toram's combat is a little like xiv/wow but with a few gimmicks, it has no classes but a build system where you buy stat points and can learn weapon skill sets where some passives and abilities can be mixed and matched, if you plan your character well you can be either a raider with high damage or a crafter/refiner
the point of the game is to grind a lot and dress your character in cool or cute clothes and hang out
perfect for zoning if that's your thing

Not the previous anon, wanted to test the game out, got this error (both Steam version and standalone), any idea what could make it happen? I don't play any other online games atm so doubt it's some bizzare anticheat collison. I tested if it might be VPN issue but it still does not work even when I disable it.

AGI builds were always fun to me. Knuckles and dual swords are the only two weapons where AGI works well as a primary stat, though there are a few special and rare katanas that also scale based off of AGI. AGI also works well as a secondary stat for halberds and magic devices, and potentially even bowguns and two handed swords depending on how you build them.

They can be, but according to the main dev, he designed the game to where healers aren't necessary since people not wanting to play support is a common problem in MMOs. The issue is that tanks still have that problem and are still necessary depending on boss difficulty and how flimsy the party's DPS players are. Pure support isn't useful in most scenarios, but support can still be a good sub role for DPS and especially tank characters.

To my knowledge, no one has made a full list of how each weapon is affected by each stat, but you can use the stats calculator on coryn.club to input different stats and change weapon types to see what they effect.

stats depend on what wep you're using but in general str = atk++ stability+ flat crit dmg , dex = atk+ stability++ accuracy+, agi = atk spd++, int matk++, max mana+, 1% elemental damage every 10 int

agi will give atk+ to classes like katana and halberd, dex gives atkspd+ for knuckles and bows

max luk gives rougly 25% more drops but its a meme stat unless you're going blacksmith/farm mage hybrid

It's always more efficient to kill as quickly as possible (breaking boss parts can be an exception to this). The use of LUK mages is more for experienced players with good equipment to farm weaker mobs more efficiently. It's also useful for high level refining, but that's outside the beginner's scope.
You see a lot of people making guides urging new players to rush their way to high level things because most people who play MMOs these days only do it for the progression high.
As a new player, if you have a spare character slot, all you really need for a farming character is a full INT mage with blizzard from the wizard tree, or a full STR halberd build with dive impact for tougher mobs.

Yeah I've zero interest in rushing endgame, a good MMO is all about the journey. It's just easy to get indecisive about what build to play because there are a lot of cool looking things here, figured that if I really need a farmer I might just start with one.
