Trying it right now and yes, it is very meh and boring
The only cool thing is the MC's suit. It is as derivative and bland as a demo for something else. The story seems already predictable and there's not much to talk about mechanics. You shoot very bland and slowly and sometimes hit your melee. I thought it was going to be Dead Space action-like inspired at least, but it's less than a corridor shooter: its just a corridor.

You have both punch AND stomp, and both do 0 fucking damage. Between bullets not doing any damage and melee being useless, they really just want you to charge your gun and kite enemies, but then you have no movement options. Enemies will either miss completely or teleport and kick your ass for 75% of your health. You can tell this is a game from people that never made an action game and only watched others do it.

Ammo is really scarce, and fire is said to be the best weapon against enemies, but apparently there's no flamethrower weapon, but you get endless flamethrower cartridges that work as a little pushback power (and it also burns corpses). The problem is that the dispensers give you endless cartridges, but you can only take out 1 at a time, the rest you have to craft yourself (after you upgrade the capacity) so you're running around like a retard back and forth to the dispenser so you can clear a potential zone.

They really did not know what they wanted to do with the game, you get a weapon "upgrade" that basically shows you the enemy health bar, but then they will still shower you with enemies. You can craft ammo, but your crafting inventory is also tiny.

It's like they really wanted it to be smaller scale, with more strategy and enemies that are a more of threat, but then they gave up and started with the Dead Space enemy rush, it's just all over the place and doesn't feel that good. Hell, even adding that stupid fucking Callisto Protocol dodge and buffing melee with a longer whiff recovery would've made this more dynamic and tolerable.
You have very limited inventory space and everything takes up a slot, but there's really no need to backtrack at all, so you just kind of trundle on until you hit a new "safe room", unload and continue on.

It's not the Medium, but Bloober haven't made a good game in their entire career, at least this one is not a fucking walking sim.
