i tried to daily cachy and every thing i wanted to do was interrupted by having to troubleshoot it

I legitimately don't know how that's possible. I'm using Cachy and everything just werks. The only game I had to boot Windows for was BF6 which isn't the OS's fault.

Bazzite is more like SteamOS, i.e. immutable with atomic updates. Cachy is more traditional. Compared to Endeavour has a bit more handholding and it's own packages optimized for modern hardware.

vr is also a huge pain in the ass
wivrn/alvr work but not being able to see the desktop in vr is a deal breaker
like i tried to play ZONA today and it would freeze in the main menu under wivrn and then not show up at all when i tried to launch it with alvr

In my opinion VR everywhere is a fucking mess, a lot of it relies on a bunch of nonstandardized paid middleware shit.
Hopefully that Steam Frame stuff comes with Valve picking up the slack so it's less generally awful.

99.9% of games work, maybe don't install an arch based distro with an install script if you don't want to have issues. ive used artix for years and it just works
