As much as it's easy to make fun of The Line I really liked the setting of a major ultra wealthy city being completely consumed by the desert that surrounds it and how directly impacted the buildings and gameplay. Buildings are ruined, leaning, sometimes even completely sideways or actively falling apart, youre fighting across roomtops and dark now underground hellholes, and you can destroy parts of the environment to gain an edge in battle. Really is a fun game. I think it's honestly funny how hard the game pushes it's message at times but I like to play into it since I'm a fan of it's various source material. Shame it was taken offline.

For all its flaws and questionable game design, it really has to be played and experienced at least once, especially if you're a cod or moh player. Some moments are genuinely thought provoking and even horrific. The hallucinations and murals come to mind still, long after I finished the game.
