MGS2- we played as Raiden playing as Snake in the Tanker, and then Raiden in the plant
MGS3- we played as Solid Snake in a simulation conducted by Campbell
MGS4- Solid Snake
PW, Ground Zeroes, TPP AND MGS:Delta- we were Ahab/Venom Snake experiencing these events via hypnogosia conducted by Ocelot/Zero

Fraudulent. MGS1 for the PlayStation was real, the GameCube remake Twin Snakes was Raiden playing the simulation.

MGS4 would've been in a much stronger position if everything after raiden's capture was VR and the ending didn't really happen. The only thing that was real was the conversation between raiden and GW. Basically most villain characters from MGS2 could've been alive and you have a lot more freedom.
