Team cherry's pricing is extremely destructive and disgusting. They are undercutting competition to gain marketshare, forcing competition to either lower their price to stay competitive or risk low sales leading to bankruptcy. This kind of price war is unhealthy for the gaming industry.

Developers will end up cutting corners to keep price competitive, this includes more outsourcing, stagnant wages for developers, bad optimization, and more.

God forbid developers are forced to put good/reasonable price tags for their games, if you make a game worth a damn, you better give it a good price and not something excessive, a lot of games aren't worth $70 or even $60, period. Make good games with reasonable prices or get out, that's what I would say.

he does because he is paid to. AAA is pissed that their plan to hire incompetent 3rd worlders for cheap and make more money backfired because all the games were shit. So now they have to attack indies to try to stay relevant. Price is one of the big advantages indies have for competition. Journalists, PR companies, probably some youtubers, are all going to push this.
