You get the silkshot,a single hit projectile that shoots ahead of you and costs 1 tick of silk to fire. With 3 tool upgrades it does 19 damage. It's shown some things like how some enemies have defense so their lower hp doesn't matter (which ones take less damage is completely arbitrary, it doesn't have anything to do with if the enemy looks well protected some flower enemies didn't take the damage of a full swing). Silksong seems like a better game overall, but it's also exhausting in a way that the first game rarely was. Not well suited for long play sessions in my opinion.

I get the feeling it'll be fantastic on a replay, but a blind playthrough is pretty rough
I can't help but feel like the devs wanted to make things harder but were dealing with really small integers so doubling enemy damage was literally the only thing they could do
I kind of wish they'd gone for a system where you start with like 10 health but you get +1 health every two mask shards or whatever
Also I don't know why they didn't give Hornet a straight down pogo with her default moveset, I feel like that would have made things way more interesting, but maybe they thought it'd be too easy
