I got this, Saint's Row (2022) and Sniper Elite 5 for free with a GPU I purchased a few years ago. I never installed any of them.

Played it and yeah, it's probably the most overhated game of all time. Solid 5.5 or 6/10 game. Freya wasn't ugly either, and the funniest thing is that it's an Isekai game so the setting and idea weren't 'woke' like the antiwoke crowd was trying to make it. the real worst thing about this game is how it needed VRAM from 2035 to stream its textures on any setting higher than medium.

Her personality sure was.

From what I've heard, because not many people could suffer through the game for long, she meant to be horribly unlikable and it's a story about character growth but that doesn't make it any less insufferable to be stuck with a selfish whining cunt for 10+ hours.

t. 100% including every single individual chest on the map and all the DLC. Did everything but one of the challenges on Extra Hard from the start of the game (Because one of the challenges simply isn't possible to do in time as one of the bosses you fight already takes half the timer and you have like two more to go). Also did the DLC boss fights as Frey but it's not possible at all to 5* it on Extra Hard and they clearly didn't even playtest it because just the first boss alone takes like two minutes on Extra Hard and you have two more after it that are tankier.

She's a selfish asshole who just wants to get back home for 90% of the game. She outright tells people actively helping her to go screw themselves, only goes to get stuff because she's told it's how she can get back home rather than to help Athia or even her only friend there, and right before she goes to confront either Tanta Olas or Tanta Prav she outright fights with her only friend.

It isn't until Tanta Cinta's memories get played for her right before she goes to the last boss fight that her personality does a complete 180 and she's ready to die and sacrifice everything for Athia literally in a 10 minute period. She goes from "Fuck Athia" to "All my homies would die for Athia" in that small segment. It's even more absurd because in the ending she traps Susurrus in her arm meaning until she dies he's stuck with her constantly talking in her mind even though she would never have done that at any point prior to that.

Meant Very Hard before anyone corrects that. The game is also not designed with some of the accessibility options turned off which is even more absurd that they are. Some of challenges are actively impossible on VH difficulty if you don't have cooldown swapping or no self damage from spells and not having them on in general makes combat worse.

Because I like playing bad games, 100%ing them, and seeing if they're -that- bad. In this case it was. Dustborn is going to be one of my next ones and I already know it's -that- bad, I just wanted it because it's hilarious how bad it is and feels like watching a Niel Breen movie or The Room. I've also got Balan Wonderworld farting around and plan to pick up Mighty No. 9 at some point.

nah fuck off, it was absolutely that bad. The fact they got a literal angel to portray being a turbo cunt street urchin was bafflingly stupid. The story was so irredeemably dogshit I genuinely don't know how no one stood up and said anything through the entire development cycle.

The only redeeming part of the gameplay was the parkour and traversal, but even after you get all your tools you're still navigating a bland, boring desolate landscape that's not interesting in the least to explore.

Don't even get me started on the dogshit combat against damage sponge enemies that either just lazily stand there or impotently try to swipe at you.

It's not even a matter of having potential but falling short like FF15, it's just a shit game all around

I played it for a couple hours before refunding. Thought people were just memeing about the dialogue, but nope it's actually that bad

She deserves a good game, she's very attractive and cute yet they made her be Frey. It pisses me off.

Don't forget that all your damage is tied up in the ranking system which takes an eternity to earn and drops in half if you sake a single hit.
Then there's the elk, bears, tigers, and crocodiles who have 1 frame attack windows with no build up to instantly damage you.
Melee is also unusable due to how you're forced to get stuck into combos meaning that outside of spamming its skills and leaving it is functionally the worst power in the game.

There's some merit in what you are saying, you only need to look to Spec Ops to see how pissed people get about playing a flawed character, but the player character in Forspoken is not merely just flawed. She's awful in almost every way. She a terrible combination of incredibly selfish and incredibly arrogant and self-righteous. The opening cutscene of the game is her interrupting a reprimand assuming someone was going to tell her how much potential she has which is immediately shot down by the person reprimanding her. Even when she's getting scolded she still thinks she actually getting veiled praise. And just think about what the "Did I just do that?" scene is really about. She's patting herself on the back for what she believes is a sole accomplishment despite being told over and over again that she didn't do that, the bracelet did it. She just a horrible, horrible person with practically no redeeming values whatsoever.

I was genuinely standing around at a K-mart years and years ago contemplating buying this for $40 when it was still somewhat new since I heard how bad it was and decided against it. I heard it actually wasn't that bad barring the controls, it was mainly just a really barebones 3D platformer meant more for really young kids than anything.

Forspoken is extremely boring, the world lacks both color and interesting things to look at and go to, the "dungeons" are just a series of straight lines and while running around feels good there's nowhere really to run to because you can just go down the main story path and beat the game in 10 hours without breaking a sweat. The movesets you get are interesting but clunky and overengineered and the enemies tend to blur into nondescript black blobs because they don't have an interesting design. Enough has been said about the story details but in general it's also really trite, a girl down on her luck gets transported to a fantasy land and whoop dee doo she turns out to be a local princess.

Also the final boss' name is Sussusamogus and he hails form the land of Reddit. Great.
