I dislike how random it can feel how soon you'll get a map in the Citadel, and sometimes it's just easy to miss. I'm pretty sure I cleared out the whole Slab (not quite, still need the 3rd key) before I found the map. Even though I 'could' have gotten it earlier. Whats the point of the endless amount of gauntlets? Almost every area has one one and most of them have no reward except for maybe rosary beads. I understand the whole overcoming the challenge is its own reward but I'd also like an actual reward for going out of my way to explore and stumble upon them

Literally the bane of my existence as a Wanderer crest user. I don't know who the fuck programmed the way they move, but they are ALWAYS just slightly out of range and the nanosecond I move towards them, they will fucking move away in tandem and if I attempt to dash, they also just zip away.

I play games on the hardest difficulty usually. Silksong is tilting me and not in a good way. So many gotchas, so many "see how clever our design is" bullshit, and benches are too far away from everything too. The gauntlet with the yellow bug where you cannot see anything on the screen is outright bad design. I don't quit in games when I die, even if it takes me a lot of tries, but I turned Silksong off twice already.

After playing with it enough I think as of now I can confidently say that I prefer the charm system of HK to the crests and tool system of Silk Song. It just feels pointlessly more limiting despite being able to change them when you want. I really hate how the crests change EVERY part of your moveset so I always end up hating one part of it that really ruins your kit. The Knight's moves were basic but they were also incredibly efficient. Hornet's moves with these crests are so retardedly niche and limiting and feels like they were just different for the sake of being different.

To the guy a few threads ago that got so far as to complete the map, i've had a breakthrough in getting progress. It's crazy how much i've overlooked it since I was so focused on revealing the map.
Really is as simple as doing all the quests in Songclave, the settlement in the Citadel. I'm assuming since you had the Ducts revealed you got that much. But basically just do every fetch quest and such. Then the caretaker there has a conversation with Hornet about having an alternative solution to dealing with the one in the Cradle.

Very early on, hit stuff and take tiny steps back, using the knockback to keep the enemy at a safe distance. This is a good principle to keep in mind even as the game progresses. Afterwards, usually a good strategy is to bait the enemy to attack and then jump over them (possibly doing an aerial attack) and then hit them from behind. Once you get the dash then you have more options to keep or close distance, and if you attack into an enemy while sprinting you can combo them and get a few hits in a relatively safe way like that and then either go over them or dash back.

It's surprisingly hard to give any advice here since a lot of that stuff is just intuitive for me.

Big tip for anyone struggling with the game. Get the poison charm from Shellwood and the Boomerang and Spike Trap sub-weapons. (Boomerang is in Hunter's March, behind a false wall in the room above the bench room). You proc like 10 hits per 1 charge, it's OP af. Just for funsies I beat Skull Tyrant with tools alone, no needle. And still had a few charges left over. They also made Savage Beastfly way easier, the adds would get deleted very quickly.

Doing Lace 2. It's not a bad fight, but I'm always kinda on the fence about fights that seem to force you to play a more specific way.

IDK how the fuck people keep finding all these secrets but not me. I've been all over every single area. I've spent multiple hours trying to sequence break my way into places I'm clearly not supposed to be. People are constantly talking about oh, the secret area that leads to another secret area that lets you sequence break into act 2 five hours early. Oh yeah the secret boss in this area my map is complete for. Oh yeah the hidden on screen sex scene between Hornet and Sherma while Lace watches. I hit every fucking wall I see, I herd flies to pogo on every time I see an unreachable area, how the fuck am I missing so much. And people have already finished the game too what am I MISSING

there are a lot of pathways that you can randomly run through, or corners in which you wall jump and you reach a new upper path, even though they aren't telegraphed at all. also lots of the breakable walls don't really pop out much because they're in stupid dank corridors.
