Objectivly wrong.
In mediumcore you risk all of your gear every time you go anywhere. Especially true during invasions. I've lost multiple worlds getting softlocked while dying during an invasion.

Hardcore is mediumcore taken to 11. In multiplayer there's little to no difference, but solo hc will have you lose your gear and safe/pig

Nothing a backup set of armor doesn't fix.
And given the entire gameplay loop revolves around constantly upgrading your shit, you should have backups to spare.

Unironically an skill issue as big as it gets, you should know invasions only give a fuck about the middle point of the world, having your spawn point be on the dungeon entrance or an ocean fixes this.

i tried to get into terraria a lot but it didn't click with me until master mode zenith seed which i loved

i personally run a mod that makes max player health be 1/1 me since the game is too easy otherwise
