I used to think there were okay for providing some form of pushback of terribly optimized games by showcasing how bad they were and somewhat made a bad example of poorly optimized games. Then they started becoming apologists for developers terribly optimized games at some point, likely to get exclusive reports within the studios themselves. So i think there's a specific point of where they got worse. To be able to do some of their tech analyses they had to suck up to developers and then started white washing information on why bad performance was happening, as if certain scenarios could be forgiven. It's really once we got towards them making excuses for Epic Games really and anyone who was using their engine.

Discoverability is absolutely horrid because the algorithm essentially only suggests sanctioned content, you must know someone at youtube or someone there must like you or they must accept you for some other reason, for your video to show up in peoples feed. Also the search function will hide all your videos in the exact same manner even if you search the exact video title name.
