I'm playing Silent Hill 2 OG For the firs the first time on Hard. It's Enhanced Edition. Any tips for me to survive the horrors of Silent Hill and not wandering around like an autist getting killed by monsters all the time?

The game itself is pretty easy, especially on normal. The early segments have a lot of "okay what do I do now?" but just search everywhere. Your whacking stick really sucks and isn't suited for combat, but it has a stronger attack so try to use that one.

The early game is pretty rough and it turned a lot of players off. Just think it through logically and investigate.

Silent Hill 2 gives you a massive surplus of ammo, even on hard it's not hard

Stomp enemies on the ground to instantly kill them, that's the only tip you need

It is a pretty easy game, you can stomp on enemies you knock down which saves you a lot of headache if they start crawling around. Holding or tapping the attack button does a different type of swing. Strafing with the triggers is mad useful.
Also never post the remake because it completely ruins the atmosphere and tone of the original game

Don't waste the spool of yarn making the string phone. Save the cans and use the yarn later on for the minotaur maze.

As others have said, it's oddly easy, I played it for the first time last year and I thought it was gonna be difficult but as long as you look around, you'll be flooded with ammo and healing items.

Just a heads up. Hard completely ruins one of the most important scenes in the game.

They probably thought you knew by now that doing damage to him would result in him slowing down. they even give you a nice section to shoot at him through the screen fence. It's kind of a puzzle you can't ignore on Hard, but youc an ignore it on easy/normal.

I would actually like a tweak to her AI in the fan mods so that she tries to move forward instead of standing around.

spatial awareness is the only thing you need to clear any silent hill game, keep tabs on the map at all times

Don't play SH2. Actually experiencing the piece of shit will detract from any ideas you had about it before going in. 90% of the gameplay is just checking doors in abandoned buildings. The puzzles are nonsensical and so is the level design. Bosses are evil bullet sponges that take years to kill, plot twists are predictable as hell too. Laura dies btw.

Yes real anons do not talk like this. One of the surest ways to tell if its a bot is if the post says nigger or not. Bots seem to be programmed to not be allowed to say nigger. But a real anon will say nigger because it is site culture to use racism for the funnies.

SH2 is still pretty easy even on hard. just be sure to check your map as you explore and you'll see that the game does steer you to your current objectives for the most part.
