When I was too young to know what a fetish was I played command and conquer tiberian sun. I found out if you march infantry over tiberium their health will drop until it hits zero but instead of dying they'll transform into writhing blobs called visceroids.
On their own this wasn't enough to give me a transformation fetish, but then when two visceroids touch they'd merge into an adult visceroid which would begin actively absorbing all other living beings into itself. I didn't know why but intentionally sending my infantry into the tiberium field felt good.
Later on I'd watch, "the blob" and I knew my fetish.
