Well Skyrim actually has places to go and things to see. Bg3 doesnt. What bg3 does have is probably the easiest crpg gameplay ever made with probably the dumbest Netflix show narrative imaginable. Actually, that might just make sense for Skyrim now that I think about it. It's a 14 year old game, modded to hell and back and essentially optimized for any potato. It's constantly sold for next to nothing, and it's still a decent looking game offering a level of escapism few games offer.

Well skyrim really was the death of the industry being the last AAA game that actually had enough content under the hood to justify a purchase. That said it was extremely watered down.

BG3 is completely different and is coming from a dev that never actually made any good games so the core gameplay is garbage and the "they fly now" "somehow bhaal returned" garbage story go right over people's heads.

If Skyrim's story was as bad as BG3 it would have performed worse, so no it's not the same thing it's a legitimate low IQ or language barrier that's getting people to buy BG3

I was contemplating doing my true 100% playthrough after i finish ffxv . it dawned on me most games dont handle companions properly. you shouldn't micromanage them and control them in games they should equip and level up and act on their own but I guess ai isn't up to it yet. instead we get brain dead companions that need to be controlled and manipulated by the player to have any impotence of their own .
