This game is boring. The formula has been done to death, and I've never met anyone who is happy while playing it.

Valve trannies will be a loyal fanbase, but other than them, this game will never amount to shit.

I grew up poor (in scandinavia) and couldn't afford to buy games so I'd like to have kids be able to play as many games as possible for free but also yes, every multiplayer game that's gated behind a paywall has a better playerbase.

Concord is a perfect example of how putting a price tag on a game doesn’t automatically filter out shitters-it just filters out broke shitters. You still get mic-spamming, AFKing, and people who bought it “just to try with the boys and never touch again.” The problem isn’t the cost, it’s that modern multiplayer design incentivizes low effort and low stakes across the board. You could charge $70 or make it free-it’s still gonna be mid if the core gameplay loop and matchmaking suck.

Heroes of Newerth was a full priced game on release, and it was filled with the usual dregs. Making it cost money means nothing. MOBA players are just largely subhuman. Just keep the separate servers as deadlock already did, and make sure they can't change it.

Nowadays faggots are so brainwashed they cant understand a world where you pay for games you want to play instead they all have to be f2p with microtransactions and battle passes and paid skins etc etc.
They use the excuse that "paid multiplayer games die" as if Age of Empires 2 and R6 before it went F2P werent played by tons of people. Not to mention the "game dies" part could be fixed by simply providing dedicated servers to the players so they can host themselves.
I can get into a fucking Starsiege Tribes game today because of that.
