Like anything that involves UI in tech it's all made for retards to not bother learning shit. No joke, A few months ago I went to a website building and marketing crash course and the guy during the presentation basically without writing a whole thesis here about it said that the reason all UIs are nowdays soulless garbage is because of accessability because normalfags are mongoloid drooling retards.

Dunno but PS5 but the piss 4 had pretty alright themes.
As for why we don't get them anymore, I'm really not sure.
I wish it wasn't so annoying to install themes on the Steam Deck.
The fact you have to get a whole plugin for it and it's reverted every system update basically means nobody makes or uses that shit.
Which is a shame because I'd love some theme options.

You sure it's not because these companies would rather put in as little time, money and effort as possible?

Each game on PS5 is basically it's own theme, you get a picture of the game that takes up the whole screen sometimes with music. It changes when you highlight the next game in your row.

For that there are templates to speed up work, but you have to consider that if you want a new website to be high in the search engine positioning you have to follow whatever jewgle standard imposes
>That colorfull javascript inserted box has cool interactive hyperlinks? Too bad not our standard, less shekels for you
> See that fun animated video you inserted there? Too bad, not our standard, fuck you
It's actually alot of work to get your site look fun without being criminalized by the calarts mafia.

People don't explore UI anymore. Look how little normies know about Excel. If it isn't on the default ribbon at the top, they don't know it exists.

I really don't know why Nintendo suddenly decided to not invest time in building a dedicated UI for Switch/Switch 2. The previous ones really gave you that sense of cheerfulness and you were about to getting some fun, especially the Wii U one

you do, but old games just used to have mirrors be a camera that renders the room you're in backwards. ie older devs were smarter and the future is retarded.

>Tfw got to watch in real time the death of user expression.
>from making your own themes on PS3 and loads of amazing UC content games like LBP,Modnation Racers.
>PS4 had its "out of the box themes" they had to be made and approved by corporate and be bought or but you still had a large variety of choice and could use your favorite franchises and games.
>PS5 just has nothing its all ads or a jarring picture and music anytime you switch to a game there's no cozy theme tying the whole console together its a gross corporate mishmash designed to push as much ads and info in your face as possible.

I'm starting to think they did it not for money or legal but simply to demoralize people to take away there individuality more then they already have its all these billionaire sorts are obsessed with nowadays.

Interesting for them to make up that cope, when old and soulful UIs used to also be intuitive and functional. Now retarded UI designers are too stupid to put a menu with all the options in their stupid webpage, and instead make you through 7 unintuitive screen changes to find the thing you are looking for.

There is something strange about the white flat UIs, that are everywhere now.
It is like a prideful message, that tells you, that UI design is something of the more primitive past.
It says that we don't need that anymore. As if we have ascended into the higher realm of realism graphics that speak for themselves and no longer need and outdated UI that humans can read well. We have become something better, we don't need this anymore it tells you.

I think the modern UI is not made for humans, it's made for a robot. It is reduced to data. It is intentionally user-unfriendly.
