Just beat this game, what did I think of it?
Should I do another run through on Hard or do I move on to Sugma 2?

Blacked 1 isn't that much different from Sigma 1. Sigma just has added unnecessary gay shit like Rachel, double swords, easier water running, and extended (bad) canals section.

Heard Sigma 2 is particularly bad but I got the Master Collection on Steam while it was on sale while the remake version didn't have any discount. Should I mod it for my first playthrough or do I just play it on Hard and call it close enough?

Why limit to playing it once? Play every version. Spoiler but you'll find out 2 will never be good and always have issues.

I don't doubt I will considering I liked the first one enough to beat it, but in the meantime I'm just running through the three games first and then revisit them on harder difficulties before 4 drops. I imagine I'll get the remake version of 2 whenever it gets cheap, but as it stands I can either play vanilla 2 Sigma or modded.

Play sigma 2. If your goal is to just run through it then play that base version on MC. You won't appreciate the mod and it's made expecting the player is competent veteran.

Play Sigma 1 again.
Do hard, very hard, Master Ninja and don't forget Ninja Trials. Sigma 1 is just a very very good game. i guess Sigma 2 is worth one playthrough, specially if you already bought the collection, but it's not a game you'd want to stick with. RE does most of the things it does, but better anyway.

Both Sigmas are better. OG2 is just a different game that has several terrible moments and encounters, every person that tries to talk it up clearly has zero fun and hates the game outside of about 4 fights in the whole thing that are all made identically. S2 has some issues mainly in visuals but just not having so many of the worst parts puts it ahead, but you can play both to find out and it's silly to take anyone's word for something you can easily find out for yourself, especially when the conversation is so obviously astroturfed.

I hated all the other sugmas. Only the 1 had that "devs had no clue what they were doing so it felt like mix of resident evil + dmc + dark souls + something.

All other sugmas feel like just mushou beat em ups but in smaller scale.

I only like the 2D sidescroller Ninja Gaiden games. Ragebound was great. I'm interested in Ninja Gaiden 4 though.

Do not go to 2. Play on Hard then Very Hard then Master Ninja. 2 is a totally different type of experience. If you like 1 then keep playing 1.
