NTA but I played through the whole thing. Combat is pretty fun, but the story and writing in general just suck. Not Veilguard bad, but just sort of tedious and uninteresting across the board. Stakes all feel petty, characters are all flatter, and the antagonist species is just lame and boring. No real effort was spent making them feel like an actual alien society. They’re just “unstoppable” video game bad guys you more or less can’t even talk to. It sucks. Character designs are also a huge step down from the ME Trilogy. The character in the OP is the cutest shipmate, but she’s a side character so her romance is underdeveloped and locked to a lesbian relationship anyway. The only people who are really happy with the MEA companions are desperate female turian ethusiasts. Only play if you really want to play a bunch more ME combat and are willing to slog through everything else to get that. And if you somehow haven’t played the original ME for god sake go get the legendary edition and play that instead.
