All of the Last Judge's attacks are heavily telegraphed. Once you spot what is about to do dodging the attacks it's pretty trivial. After the first attempt, the only time I did to it again was during the one time longer fire spin attack. Even it's death attack it's really easy to see coming.

This is the only boss since hollow knight came out that did this. Earlier bosses with similar mechanics or properties to their attacks would leak poison, goo, spikes or whatever and not hurt the player once they entered their death animation. It's a fun gotcha moment but worth complaining especially if it insta kills you. At least when gypceros did it in MHFU you had 2 other immediate tries and it gave personality to the monster

The more I play, the less I like the game. I'm sure the boss could be relatively fun but this is just terrible game design; making things "hard" and to waste the player's time rather than making it hard but also consider the "fun" aspect to these games.

Because hard combat = good
That's the attitude people have. Otherwise game is "boring" and "walking simulator". However if a game needs adaptability and you cannot solve it by memorizing attack patterns, then it is unfair.
The thing is that Silksong only need you to either die few times to memorize the patterns, because there is no way you can react reasonably to many of the bosses. Some of course watch Gameplay vids for a solution, then just copies it.

Sadly only ways to combat it is either roguelike or PvP.

I disagree. It's been a while but I remember a few HK bosses having these very dramatic explosion deaths but without there being any damage. More often than not, there's no reason to think the boss you just killed is still going to do damage.

Which happen in a cutscene. OP's webm isn't a cutscene, he has full control while an enemy is smoking (indicating that something's going to happen to it) and the screen is shaking (indicating that something big's coming). Your gaming senses should warn you that it's too dangerous to stay close so you should run away as quickly as possible.

Never quite got that myself. I certainly had fun with HK but I wasn't waiting with bated breath for the sequel. I guess it's just one of those cases where it takes on a life of its own. Bosses in the previous game and even previous bosses in Silskong had similar particle effects when dying that did nothing. No later boss does the same thing as well. Literally just a badly designed fuck you to the player. Yes. Have you played Silksong at all? The environment and world are very hostile, there's traps everywhere, half the bosses have extra phases after seemingly dying, and even some of the benches are actually traps. Play with this knowledge in mind, you're supposed to be an agile spider that's permanently hyperaware of her surroundings.

Yes, every boss has a dying voice line, starts glowing, has particles coming out of them and then the screen turns white before they get "hit" in the air and die.
Even if you knew she was going to specifically explode, there's no reason to assume it would deal damage and not be in the background. The boss itself becomes a background prop and doesn't deal contact damage, but I'm supposed to know that the explosion will, even though most people's instincts are to stay near the boss to watch the cool death animation?
Again, nobody moves one screen away from the boss after they die because they wanna see the death scene.
Maybe if the smoke had more "fire" particles, which the player probably associates with an attack, I could understand. But just the smoke is not enough to discern this.
