Because the reason guys that aren't mentally handicapped end up like this is because they get viciously abused by their family and their support network, so they eat a lot of food as a coping mechanism, do stuff that embarrasses them in public because they've been bullied into a violent self-destructive instinct they're not even going to be able to address until at least their mid-twenties, and do it from their room in their parents' house because there's no feasible way for a person who isn't expressly supported by society to create a net positive income to escape it (because they don't choose whether or not they get a job).
