This has never been refuted by Deck haters.

Is that comic artist retarded? I can play on my laptop and PC at home just as easily as a Steam deck.

Why bother when anyone with more than two neurons can see the comparison is exaggerated
to the point of being retarded?

I would also like the convenience of using my PC in my bed, but the price does not justify this.

It's not exaggerated at all. The whole point of Steam Deck is that you can play PC games while lying in your bed, on your back. You cannot do that on a laptop or desktop.
Anonymous No.720073776 >>720075005
steam deck is comically underpowered now unless you only play le heckin indies

Would make a better point if he were laying in bed. If you can sit on a sofa you can sit at a computer chair.
Anonymous No.720073913
sitting and looking at something in my lap makes my neck hurt. the best place for a screen will always be on a desk or on the wall. if you want to play vidya in med just hook it up to the tv screen in the room and use a wireless controller or whatever. portables are for children who want to play games when being forced by their parents to go somewhere.

It's $250 and can play triple A games in 2025 at 60fps thanks to Lossless Scaling

False. A Steam Deck is just more comfy.

What is the point of hating how other people play games? I've been gaming exclusively on pc for over a decade, and people playing on a console or handheld has not effected me in any meaningful way.

What's the point?

Why is playing sitting down on a sofa staring at a small screen considered somehow more comfortable than just playing in bed?
Or you know plying your laptop in to a TV and playing on a big screen using controller or using a streaming APP to stream your home PC to your TV.
Anonymous No.720074618
I would like to play vidya with my hands turned sideways parallel to my body, like nature intended

i think people overvalue gaming on a couch

I've been playing Stick of Truth, and have finished The Last Sovereign. I got the deck to be an RPG machine with Visual Novels as a side option. It serves it's purpose admirably. Persona 4 Golden is next, as I've never played a Persona and that was the one recommended the last time I asked.

it’s incredible that you’ve somehow managed to export consolewarring to pc
it’s doubly incredible that you brought the retardedness of the arguments along with them

I always wonder if the artists who draw these comics just have terrible ergonomics in their setups to the point where it's bad to sit in a chair at their desk.
I got a cheap 4 leg office chair with comfy padding and a sturdy back I can lean back and stretch over and it's a game changer compared to the stupid gaming chairs I used to try and put up with.

They're not pc replacements (though it could be if needed). The convenience was worth it to me. And it doubles as a good travel device when visiting family or on vacation.
The fact it can plug in extra bits for party/fighting games and there's zero compatibility problems is icing o. The cake
