I played the first three levels of this and it felt like a baby game.
Does it get any better? Why were almost all first-party 3DS titles like this?

Kirby is just known for being easy
There's some challenge towards the end and there's optional hard mode boss gauntlets but otherwise the base games of this franchise are ez

Triple Deluxe gets extremely fucking good with the final stages and bosses. It's a babygame until then however, so just enjoy the music.

Anon, literally every Kirby game is babymode, with the only exception being Dreamland 1's optional hard mode.

The Kirbys in previous generations felt like games anyone could play, not "baby games".

Kirby 64 was a baby game
Dreamland 3 was a baby game with a children's book artstyle

You can't play a Kirby, then complain it's babytime central. You can't look at that and expect something different.

How can you be uncertain about the rest of the game but then claim all games are like this with certainty

Planet Robobot is a bit more like that. A baby game, but a fun one.
Pushmo, Captain Toad, KI:U and NSMB2 are like that too. Relatively accessible games that aren't outright braindead.

As someone who played it extensively the 3DS is probably the most overrated Nintendo console in terms of software. Every single fucking first party title on it felt like it was just advertising a gimmick and barely even felt like a real game. Capcom and Square were the only developers creating games with any substance. (Resident Evil Revelations, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Bravely Default)

They were new entries created for their series. Xenoblade, Donkey Kong, Resident Evil Mercenaries, Street Fighter IV, Star Fox, Ocarina and Majora's Mask were basically just ports

Yeah, it's just a shame you can't tackle 9.9 from the getgo because of its loot system.
>>720079242
Technically a second party game but Sushi Strikers is a genuine gem almost no one talks about. SF643D and Luigi's Mansion might be ports but they're really good too. Fates, Codename S.T.E.A.M., Yokai Watch 2, Wario Ware Gold, Pushmo, BoxBoy, Dead Heat Breakers, Ever Oasis... All those published by Nintendo, and they're all fantastic desu. Ever Oasis and Yokai Watch suffer from being baby games that only get good with the postgame, but still.

Triple Deluxe onwards has always forced the game's gimmick on to you to complete the stage instead of just letting you do it how you want to do it.
>USE THE SUPER SUCC
>PILOT THE EVA
>USE THE POWER OF FRIENDSHIP
>SHOVE HUGE OBJECTS INSIDE KIRBY'S MOUTH AND MOVE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE

the only thing the N3DS used that extra ram for was to not reboot the entire fucking system when playing the games that came out towards the end of its lifespan. You have to literally homebrew it to overclock the CPU to see actual bumps in framerate and even then its not much

Pushmo, BoxBoy, NSMB2, KI:U, Planet Robobot, WarioWare and ALBW are all decent in one way or another. It's a small library but Nintendo hasn't really had any first party power in them since the GameCube.

Nigger, you played Kirby expecting difficulty? Kirby is one of those easy franchises that you are meant to play to relax, any semblance of difficulty is strictly during the postgame.

Super Mario 3D Land felt like eurojank.
Smash 4 was sanitized.
Mario Kart 7 was sanitized.
Luigi's Mansion 2 was a huge disappointment compared to the GC original and was made by canadians.

1. Kirby is not "le hardcore" game. It's fun. Most of the difficulty is relegated to post, but being an easy game isn't inherently bad. You play Kirby to enjoy the charming world, good music, and fun abilities.

What did you expect from Nintendo? Their whole model has always been to appeal to the lowest possible common denominator in order to cast the largest net in potential audiences.
